Marc Avaria leads all aspects of Equitable Life’s Group business sales and marketing, actuarial, underwriting and issue, claims and administration and business technology.
Marc has more than 20 years of senior leadership experience in the Group Benefits and Disability industry across leading financial services firms, Medavie Blue Cross, Manulife and Canada Life.
Prior to joining Equitable Life, Marc was Vice President Product and Disability Management, Medavie Blue Cross and led the expansion of Medavie’s Group product suite and disability management services. During his time at Manulife, Marc held leadership roles in Group Benefits distribution, operations, and led a strategic business unit focused on growth in the small business market.
Marc holds an MBA from Queen’s University and an Honours Certificate in Human Resource Management from George Brown College.
