As Canada marks its 150th, it’s fitting that we also pause to reflect on the pride we feel in being a Canadian company. We are more than 600 friendly, caring people who are interested in helping protect our fellow Canadians. Every day we’re grateful for the opportunities and freedoms we enjoy in Canada.
When our founder, Sydney Tweed had the opportunity to start The Ontario Equitable Life and Accident Insurance Company in 1920, he likely had no idea that within a year the Company would have more than $7 million of insurance in-force. Sixteen years later, the Company changed its name to The Equitable Life Insurance Company of Canada, to demonstrate its commitment to provide all Canadians with protection.
As Canada turns 150 years old, we, as a company, couldn’t be more proud of our country and its people. In honour of the country’s birthday we’re holding a photo contest called “Share your Canada.” We invite you to participate by entering your favourite photo of Canada. The subject of the photo is entirely up to you; it could be a landscape, cityscape, family, friends or selfie. Just show us what your part of Canada looks like.
Contest period is July 1, 2017 to September 8, 2017. One (1) $750.00 CDN pre-paid card and Sponsor branded products worth $250.00 CDN available at contest start. No purchase necessary.
