Rita Burak is the President and Chief Executive Officer of the
consulting partnership, The Network Executive Team, Management
Consultants, Inc. Prior to that role, she held a variety of
progressively senior positions during her 30-year career in the
Ontario Government including Secretary of the Cabinet and head of
the 65,000 person public service, and Deputy Minister of
Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs.
In addition to serving on Equitable Life of Canada's Board of
Directors since 2003, Rita is a member of the Board of the Canadian
Institute of Chartered Accountants and serves as a Trustee of the
University Health Network. Previously, she chaired the boards
of Hydro One, Inc. and Ehealth Ontario. She also served on
the Board of the University of Guelph, among others.
Rita holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from York
University. She is a Member of the Order of Ontario, and is a
recipient of the Queen's Golden and Diamond Jubilee Medals.
