Job Status
Temporary, Full-Time (4 month employment, May - August 2017)

Accountabilities:

  • Respond to new policy issues to ensure that appropriate reinsurance is obtained
  • Respond to changes in policy status to ensure reinsurance agreements are accurately maintained
  • Resolve service issues by analyzing procedural gaps within tight timelines
  • Complex range of knowledge of products and reinsurance rules that need to be understood for daily processing
  • Ensure accuracy of calculations for annual premiums, death claims and disability claims
  • Continuous work flow improvement to enhance quality and service standards¬†

Qualifications:

  • Excellent computer knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook, Peoplesoft
  • Strong mathematical skills with an emphasis on accuracy
  • Organizational skills with the ability to work independently
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of past and present individual life products and benefits
  • Knowledge and understanding of various reinsurance treaties
  • Knowledge and understanding of the, Ingenium, CAP and LIF Individual Reinsurance Systems
  • Ability to balance a wide variety of tasks in an ever changing, reactive environment
  • Testing and analysis specifically as it involves new products and their impact on reinsurance process
